Homes For Sale in Naples

The very name, Audubon, evokes an image of a place where nature is undisturbed and preserved in a way that humans can enjoy it the way it was meant to be.

Welcome to the unique community of Audubon and the Audubon Country Club, one of only 800 in the entire world that are Certified Audubon Sanctuaries. Audubon’s 410 homes are designed to complement the 755 acres of Southwest Florida natural wonder that they occupy. Nearly 60% of the land is set aside as habit and sanctuary for Florida’s original residents. The ratio of homes to acreage means that Audubon is one of the least densely populated communities in the entire Naples area.

Audubon is situated north of Naples, west of Tamiami Trail (US 41), and extends to the wetlands that are adjacent to the Gulf of Mexico. The Audubon community is divided into the Club Side and the Bay Side. The main entrance is on US 41 on the Club Side with another on Vanderbilt Drive. The Bay Side of the Audubon community lies to the west of Vanderbilt Drive and extends to the preserves. Each entrance is gated and manned by security guards 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

The Neighborhoods of Audubon

Audubon contains 15 distinct neighborhoods. Nine of those are located on the Club Side, where the central feature of the Club Side is the Audubon Golf and Country Club. Although non-members may schedule tee times and play the course, all homeowners are members with unrestricted access to play from May 1st to November 1st. The 18-hole Joe Lee championship course also features a driving range and putting, chipping and pitching practice greens. Each hole has five sets of tees to accommodate all skill levels.

Audubon Amenities

The 35,000 square foot clubhouse features a fully-stocked pro shop for both golf and tennis, a fitness center, aerobics room and three dining rooms: the elegant Octagon, the Veranda/ Grill Room, and the casual Courtside Café.

The café is located conveniently between the 9th and 10th holes and overlooks the tennis courts and the pool – a magnificent, heated, Olympic-size pool equipped with five lap lanes. Polish your tennis game on eight lighted, Har-Tru courts and take lessons from the resident pro. The club even has two manicured, competition-grade, croquet courts for those with a competitive spirit but a less strenuous lifestyle.

It’s not just the natural beauty of Audubon that impresses, it’s also the way that they homes have been architecturally harmonized with the natural surroundings that add a special appeal to each neighborhood. And it’s the way that the Audubon Country Club Foundation maintains entire property year round.

The Club Side is home to 36 spacious condos in three, three-story buildings. They are the only condos on the entire property. The remaining homes range from golf villas and custom, single-family homes to luxurious estate homes. Regardless of size or price, every home has a view of the golf course, the preserve or one of the 28 lakes located throughout the community.

If living in the Audubon community is appealing, it is even more so knowing that the highly-acclaimed Audubon Corkscrew Swamp Preserve is a mere 40-minute drive.
